Chicago's NEW Chicken Sandwich God?

As Chicago food reviewers we’ve eaten a solid 50 or so chicken sandwiches in this beautiful city but it was one of our fans that pointed us towards a new favorite.

With one wonderful comment we were pointed towards GG’s Chicken Shop in Lakeview and our lives may have been forever changed.

We got both the three piece chicken tenders with honey mustard sauce for nine dollars and the fried chicken sandwich which consisted of a fried chicken breast with bread and butter pickles, cabbage, spicy mayo, and spicy honey on a brioche bun for Thirteen fifty.

Sure the prices were a bit high but that’s close enough to the going rate of great chicken sandwiches in Chicago that we were ready to give it a chance and wow did it come through.

The flavors on the chicken sandwich came together and danced like no other on my taste buds. And the simple American delicacy that is chicken tenders kind of blew me away. The crispy breading they had was like no other. I honestly don’t think I can do it justice with the written word. My advice is twofold. For starters, watch the Youtube review below of our trip to GG’s and see for yourself what I experienced. And secondly, get yourself to GG’s!
